先日、日本で発売されるものの、新たな機能と
予約日のざっくりとした開始時期が告知された
日本では10月5日に発売されるニンテンドークラシックミニスーパーファミコン。

昨年発売された、完全にファンアイテムだったニンテンドークラシックミニファミコンが
任天堂の予想を上回る大反響を、世界各国で巻き起こし、ミニファミコンがあるなら
ミニスーパーファミコンも出るだろうという予測のもと、やはり発表されたのが
このニンテンドークラシックミニスーパーファミコンということになる。
しかも、ファミコンミニでは今まで発売されたタイトルの収録だったが
このミニスーパーファミコンでは、諸々の事情で、完成していながらも
お蔵入りとなったスターフォックス2という新作タイトルを公式に
収録することでも大きな話題となっている。
前回のミニファミコンの前例を見れば、このミニスーパーファミコンも
相当な反響があることが予想されたが、その反響はやはりとてつもない
勢いであることが判明したようだ。

大手の販売店の予約が軒並み、1時間持たずに終了へ。
今回の話の舞台はアメリカである。海外では、スーパーファミコンは
Super Nintendo Entertainment System…通称SNESと呼ばれ
日本の本体とデザインが違う仕様になっている。
それでも、日本のスーパーファミコンと同じハードにはなるので
このミニSNESが相当な反響になるのは、ある程度の予想はついた。
しかし、その反響は管理人の想像を軽々と超えていったようだ。
海外のメディアがその勢いの凄まじさを報じる記事を更新している！
The good news is that pre-orders for the SNES Classic have begun, as Nintendo officially confirmed this morning. The bad news is that pre-orders have already sold out at five major online retailers. That doesn’t mean that all hope is lost, however, as Nintendo has listed one additional retailer who hasn’t started pre-orders yet. There will still be opportunities to buy a SNES Classic in-store, as well, plus potentially additional stock made available to online retailers
Nintendo updated the SNES Classic official website around 6:00am PT this morning, adding a section linking to six different retailers with the title, “Pre-order now from these retailers.” By the time Nintendo had updated the site, both Best Buy and Amazon had already pushed pre-orders live and sold out. Best Buy started late yesterday, around 10:00pm PT, and sold out within 20 minutes. Amazon started around 3:00am PT and sold out in around 30 minutes.
The third round of pre-orders went out at Walmart at 10:00am PT on the dot, selling out within just 5 minutes. In the 20 minutes after, both GameStop and target launched online pre-orders for the SNES Classic and sold out almost instantly. Neither Target nor GameStop’s websites are fully functional at the moment, but the odds that any pre-orders remain available is extremely unlikely. It’s fair to say that the SNES Classic is already insanely popular.ます。

Best Buyでは20分ほど、Amazonでは30分ほど、そしてウォルマートに至っては
わずか5分で予約が埋まってしまうという状況に…。ニュースソースでは
まだ店頭での販売や、在庫の追加があるだろうということで希望は失われてはいないとあるが…。
前回のミニファミコンの、予想外の大反響の教訓を活かして
今回のミニスーパーファミコンは、かなりの数を作るとも言っているということだが
それでも、更に任天堂の予想を上回る需要がこの過去の名機にもあるのかもしれない。
管理人も、ミニファミコンは買わなかったが、このミニスーパーファミコンは
どうしても欲しいので、なんとか予約して入手したいところであるが…。
アメリカのこの状況を見る限り、日本でも争奪戦が発生する可能性は高いと言えるかもしれない。
今年いっぱいの限定発売という話もあるので、欲しい人は本当に予約を何とかして
購入することを強くおすすめしたいと思う。今年は本当、任天堂が主役の年であるのは間違いない。
