スクエニがCSではPSで独占して発売した、泡を利用したゲームで
そのPVが発表されるやいなや、スプラトゥーンの二番煎じだとして
悪い意味で話題になった別称：ソプラトゥーンこと
FOAMSTARSが、目も当てられないほどのプレイヤー数の減少を引き起こしている…

大本の記事としては、ソプラトゥーンの若干の革新性を認めつつ
それ以上に、その内容を貶す、いかにも海外らしい展開の記事となっております。
それにしても、少なくとも94.92%のプレイヤーが離脱し
それですら控えめな数字、実際にはもっと多いだろうという結論を示した
救いがまったくない記事となっており、スクエニ渾身？の一作は見事にコケてしまったようです。
FORMSTARSはオンライン対戦がメインのゲームとなっており、そのプレイヤー層が
ごっそりと抜ければ、マッチングすらも容易ではない状態になり、そうなれば
既存のプレイヤーも離れていくという悪循環が生まれていくということになります。
正直、これからソプラトゥーンが巻き返す未来はほぼ見えないと言ってよろしいかと思います。
こうなってくると、フルプライスパッケージで発売されたものの、その後の接続数が伸び悩み
一年近くでサービスが完全終了し、ソフト自体がゴミと化してしまった
